Jim Carter

  Jim Carter, 84, of Ville Platte, died on Monday, Aug. 4, at
11:15 p.m., in Eunice, La.

  Funeral services were held at St. James Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
on Thursday, Aug. 7. The Rev. J. B. Wilson, pastor in Glenmora,
officiated. Burial was in Bayouchicota Cemetery.

  Survivors include his wife; 12 children; one brother, John
Carter of Many; one sister, Annie Henry; 30 grandchildren; 10
great grandchildren.
