The Sabine Index - John Carter

  18 Nov 1955 - Last rites for John Carter, 75, who passed away
Nov. 11 at a Shreveport hospital was conducted at Zion Hill
Baptist church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 with Rev. J. P. King
officiating, assisted by Rev. V. R. Miller and Rev. Coda Salter.

  Interment was in Zion Hill cemetery under the direction of
Warren Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives are wife, Mrs. Lottie Carter, of
Many, sons, Claude and Doyle, both of Many, Sam of New Orleans,
daughters, Mrs. Clinton Rhodes, of Ft. Jesup, Mrs. Ruth Inloe of
Orange, brothers, Charlie Carter of Houston, Amos of Negreet,
Rutland Carter of Dallas, sisters, Mrs. C. C. Anthony of Many and
Mrs. C. D. Carroll of Negreet; 14 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.
