Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Blue Carter

  Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Blue Carter, 60, was born Thursday, May
23, 1940, and died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000.

  Mrs. Carter married Billy Carter on Oct. 31, 1958.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 8, at Union
Baptist Church in Belmont, with interment following at Belmont
Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Clements, the Rev. Glen Howard, and the
Rev. Joe Thibeau officiated.

  Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Billy Carter of
Belmont; one son, Timmy Carter and wife, Jackie of Pleasant Hill;
granddaughter, Samantha Carter of Pleasant Hill; one brother,
Bobby Blue and wife, Brenda of Garrison, Texas; two in-laws, Glen
Carter and wife, Lavern, and Gerald Yates, all of Belmont; five
nieces, Lisa Pilcher of Belmont, Sarah Blue of Garrison, Texas,
Debra Chatman of Logansport, Shelby Sepulvado of Belmont, and
Julie Pleasant of Monroe; six nephews, Dwight Roberts of
Natchitoches, Marty Roberts, Scott Carter of Belmont, Russell
Carter of Coushatta, and Daryl Carter of Baton Rouge; and a host
of great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
