Mrs. Shirley Ann Carter

  Mrs. Shirley Ann Carter, 48, died at the Sabine Medical Center
on August 28, 1986, at 5:18 a.m.

  Funeral services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints, on August 30, at 2 p.m., with Elder Glen Hardy
officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  She is survived by her husband, Everest Carter Jr.; two sons,
Everest Walter Carter of Allen Town, Pa., and Jerry Lynn Carter
of Florien; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Sue Rains of Florien; three
brothers, Carl Punke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Chuck Punke of Ft.
Richard, Md., and Tommy Lynn of Meringo, Iowa; four sisters,
Joyce Hackett of Jonesboro, Ga., Susan Culbtson of Temple, Ariz.,
Marjorie Cope of Cedar Rapides, Iowa, and Carolyn Wood of
Henderson, Nev.; and 11 grandchildren.
