Mrs. Josie Mary Carter

  Mrs. Josie Mary Carter, 71, died at LSU Medical Center in
Shreveport, La., on June 6, 1989.

  Services were held at Union Baptist Church, on Thursday, June 8,
at 2 p.m., with Rev. Johnny Garrett officiating. Burial was at
Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Survivors include her husband, Marvin Carter of Belmont; one
son, Doug Carter of Owensville, Indiana; one daughter, Barbara
Remidez of Belmont; one sister, Eula Mae Strong of Shreveport;
one brother, Harold Russell of Sugarland, Tex.; four
grandchildren, Jayla Remidez, Robin Carter, Bryan Carter, Kevin
Carter; two great grandchildren, Chris Carter, and Lacey Carter.
