Mr. Roland Carter

  Mr. Roland Carter, 68, died at Sabine Medical Center in Many,
La., on Feb. 16, 1994, at 2:15 p.m.

  He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Anderson Carter of Many,
La.; two sons, Terry Lane Carter and his wife Margaret of
Hornbeck, La., and Kenny Reed Carter and his wife Diane of Many,
La.; 5 grandchildren, Angela Carter Knotts, Clay Randall Carter,
Keith Reed Carter, Dianna Elizabeth Carter, and Courtney Allyson
Carter; one great granddaughter, Heather Knotts; two sisters,
Louise Harrell of Jasper, Tex., and Peggy Hildebrand of
Mansfield, La.; one brother, Ronald Ray Carter of Many, La.; and
many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

  Funeral services were held on Feb. 18, 1994, at 3 p.m., at the
First United Pentecostal Church of Many, with burial in Oak Hill
Cemetery. Dr. Ron L. Hamm, Rev. C. J. Walea, Rev. Harvey Hoffman
officiated.

  Honorary pallbearers were Bernice Green, Ralph Matthews, Sidney
Turnley, Jimmy Collier, and William Ruffin.

  Pallbearers were Ronald Ray Carter Jr., Dennis Hildebrand,
Rodney Wooley, Doyle Win Enloe, Bob Scott, and Jack Lightfoot.
