Mr. Julian Devance Carter

  Mr. Julian Devance Carter, 68, died Tuesday, April 20, at
Highland Hospital in Shreveport.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 22, at
Union Baptist Church, with interment following at Belmont
Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Clements officiated. Masonic rites were
held.

  Survivors include one daughter, Julie Pleasant of West Monroe;
three sons, Darrell Carter of Denham Springs, Scott Carter of
Belmont, and Russell Carter of Coushatta; his mother, Clara
Carter of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, William Frank Carter and
Glen Carter, both of Belmont; seven grandchildren; three great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
