Charlie Carter

  Charlie Carter, 79, of Houston, Tex., died in Houston, April 10,
after an extended illness.

  Services were held at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, April 12,
with the Rev. Pratt McCloud officiating. Burial was in the Oak
Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home
of Many.

  Surviving relatives include two sons, Dawson, and Charles Carter
of Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Watson, and Mrs.
Yvonne Fields, both of Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Amos, and
Rutland Carter, both of Many; one sister, Mrs. C. C. Anthony of
Many; and five grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Buddy Beasley, Ike Carter, Truman Anthony,
Wilton Anthony, Nathan Wright, and Carson Rogers.
