Corley of Burgaw, N. C. died Saturday, Feb. 7 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born in Toro on Jan. 21, 1922, to the late Janie Moore Corley and David Corley. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 in Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Merrill McKoy officiated. Mr. Corley was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps and the U. S. Air Force. He retired from Liggett-Meyers Tobacco Company. Survivors include his widow, Ruby Dillard Corley; two children, Barney Dillard Corley of Houston, Texas and Billie Corley Page and husband, Wayne of Burgaw, N. C.; special grandchildren, Thunder, Lightning and Fred; one brother, Sherman Corley of Groves, Texas; one sister, Eunice Fitts of Groves' Texas; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
