The Sabine Index - John Carroll

  31 Oct 1947 - Last rites for John Carroll, age 64, of Florien
were conducted at Massingill funeral home by Rev. V. K. Fletcher,
pastor Florien Baptist church at 2 p.m. Friday, followed by
interment in Zion Hill cemetery.

  Pallbearers were: S. D. Peterson, Jack Stroud, Ben Miller,
Ernest Allen, Howard Williams and Jessie Davis.

  Surviving relatives are: wife of Florien; sons, Nevia of Florien
and Cranford of Many; daughters, Mrs. Louis Peterson, Many, Mrs.
O. E. Dutton, Houston, Texas; brothers, C. D. of Negreet, Tuck of
Red Land community, Cade and Bill of Sulphur; sisters, Mrs. J. C.
Johnson, Florien, Mrs. Harris William, Many, Mrs. Stanley of
Bastrop, and 12 grandchildren.

  Mr. Carrol was a retired plumber.
