Funeral rites were held at Noble Baptist church 2:30 p.m. Jan. 6 by Rev. Joe Flanagan of Shreveport, assisted by Rev. S. M. Mulley of Zwolle. Interment was under direction of Massingill funeral home. Pallbearers were W. H. Pearce, Kenneth Brown, Merton Neal. A. L. Neal, Ovie Bullard and Floyd Pearce. Surviving relatives are: wife, Ms. Geraldine Carley, Natchitoches, parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Carley, Noble; brothers, B. M. Carley, Odessa, Texas, J. F. Carley, Noble, Ray Carley, Odessa, Texas; sister, Mrs. Pauline Edwards. Deceased spent three years eight months in the army of which three years four months were overseas. He served in the Eight army air cops. At the time he became ill he was attending Northwestern State college, Natchitoches.
