Corley, 59, a native of Florien, who has resided in Shreveport for the past 17 years, passed away Friday, May 5, in a Shreveport hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Corley owned and operated his own barber shop in Shreveport. He was a retired Marine and is the husband of the former Bonnie Belle Salter, also a native of Florien. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 6, at the Antioch Baptist Chruch in Florien with the Rev. Glen Marr and the Rev. Edward Williams officiating. Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Other than his wife, his is survived by four brothers, Jesse Corley and Leo Corley of Florien, Marion Corley of Boyce; and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Sanders of Florien, 2 nieces, 10 nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Quinton Corley, Gerald K. Corley, Kenneth Corley, Ronald Corley, Carl Corley and Woodrow Sanders, all nephews of Mr. Corley, Curtis Hilderbrand and J. L. Dowden.
