Rufus Corley

  Rufus Corley, 73, of Florien, died at his residence, near the
Mt. Carmel community, on Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m., following
a short illness.

  Mr. Corley is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bonnie Corley of Mt.
Carmel; two sons, Clayton Corley of Houston, Tex., and James
Corley of Huntsville, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Wingate Dowden of
Many; one sister, Mrs. Truie Jones of Patterson; and 10
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on
Saturday, May 13, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Phillip Tisdale, the
Rev. Truman Leach, and the Rev. Brent Fleming officiating. Burial
was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.
