All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Elma Elizabeth Corley Funeral services for Mrs. Elma Elizabeth Corley, 73, of Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Many, were held at 2 p.m., on Monday, June 2, at the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Earl Marr, who was assisted by the Rev. F. W. Cory. Mrs. Corley died Saturday, May 31, at 5:20 p.m., at the nursing home, following an extended illness. Mrs. Corley was born March 10, 1907, in Florien, and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist church. For years, she served as Sunday School teacher for the adults, and was active up until her health failed, and she could no longer attend. She was the widow of the late William Leo Corley Sr. Her son, the late William Leo Corley Jr., pre-deceased her. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Midge Holt, and son-in-law, Richard D. Holt, both of Port Arthur, Tex.; one granddaughter, Janet Souter, and great grandson, Jan Michael Souter, both of Fort Worth, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Trudy Leach of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Mrs. Clara Dorchek of Tampa, Fla.; and one brother, Charles (Pete) Waller of Tampa, Fla. Pallbearers were Carl Corley, John Marion Corley, John Corley, Quinton Corley, and Ben D. Peterson.
