Carl, 57, of Shreveport, were held Monday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m., in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Southside Chapel. Dr. George Smith, pastor of Sunset Acres Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park, with full military honors. Mr. Carl, a native of Vandervort, Ark., died Feb. 10, 1984, in South Park Hospital, following a sudden illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport for the past ten years. He was a retired U. S. Air force MSgt. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association, and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janice R. Carl of Shreveport; one son, Chris E. Carl of Jamestown, La.; three sisters, Bernice Robinson of Hornbeck, La., Muriel Gault of Kilgore, Texas, and Esther Carl of Longview, Texas; two brothers, D. L. Carl of Roswell, N. M., and John R. Carl of Vundon, La.; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
