Rufus W. Carroll Jr.

  Funeral services for Rufus Wade Carroll Jr. of Marthaville, were
held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, in First Baptist Church, with
the Revs. Brent Fleming, and Preston Tibbitts officiating. Burial
was in Bethany Cemetery.

  Carroll, 59, died at 4:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17, 1984, in
Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport.

  He was a Marthaville native, and a retired welder.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Wade Carroll of
Marthaville; one son, Kent Wade Carroll of Marthaville; one
daughter, Jackie Lynn Carroll of Marthaville; and two sisters,
Mrs. Alvin Wells, and Mrs. Ray Wells both of Marthaville.

  Pallbearers were Jeffrey Wells, Marty Wells, Daryl Wells,
Carroll Wells, Delyn Wells, and Rex Fleming.
