Corley - January 14, 1988 Services for Mrs. Edith T. Corley, 75, of Mansfield were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield. Dr. William Crosby pastor of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield officiated. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Mansfield. Mrs. Corley died Sunday January 10, 1988 at her residence in Mansfield after a sudden illness. She was born in Pleasant Hill; La. Mrs. Corley was a retired schoolteacher with the DeSoto Parish School Board and had taught at Holmes Junior College in Goodman, Miss. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield where she was director of nursery Sunday school for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Corley, Sr. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Mary Ruth Corley, and three grandsons, Robert, Stephen and Michael Corley, all of Austin, Tex.; three brothers-in-law, H. E. Sewell of Oklahoma City, Okla., W. F. Collins and his wife of Lufkin, Tx., and Art Greene and wife of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. H. M. Corley of Houston, Tx.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
