Kermit Sidney Carroll

  Funeral services for Kermit Carroll, 78, of Florien, were held
July 5, 1996, at Union Baptist Church in Florien, at 2 p.m.
Interment was at Union Baptist Cemetery, under the direction of
Les Fontaine Funeral Home in Many.

  Mr. Carroll passed away July 4, in Leesville's Byrd Regional
Hospital. His usual occupation was a custodian at the Sabine
Valley Technical Institute in Many.

  Mr. Carroll is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and
Alice Carroll; two brothers, Durward, and Quinton Carroll.

  He is survived by his wife Leona Salter Carroll of Florien; one
son, Steve Carroll, also of Florien; three daughters, Patsy
Ellzey and husband Bill of Milam, Tex., Susan Farmer of Florien,
Cynthia Taylor and husband Tim of Shreveport; one brother, J. D.
Carroll of Center, Tex.; two grandsons, David Farmer, and Timothy
Taylor; two granddaughters, Margie Farmer, and Brooke Taylor.

  Pallbearers were Darwin Carroll, Gary Carroll, Danny Carroll,
Sherman Salter, Jason Bass, and R. T. Miller.
