Mrs. Jennie Carroll

  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24, for Mrs. Jennie
Carroll, 79, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, after a long
illness.

  The Rev. Gerald Martin, the Rev. Paul Cater, and the Rev.
Calloway officiated at the 2 p.m. services, which were held at
Zion Hill Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include one son, Calvin Dixon Carroll Jr. of
Shreveport; five daughters, Mrs. Lena C. Gauthier, Mrs. Sue Lynn
Hendrick, Mrs. Maude C. Williams of Shreveport, Mrs. Edna C.
Salley of Many, and Mrs. Laverne Rivers of Westlake; one sister,
Mrs. C. C. Anthony of Many; three brothers, Charlie Carter of
Houston, Amos Carter of Negreet, and Rutland Carter of Dallas;
eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
