Cook is shown on the right after the recovery of the body of 16 year old Malcom Corley, who drowned on Toledo Lake north of Pendleton Bridge, April 7. The body was recovered April 26, about three miles south of where he was supposed to have drowned, according to Sheriff Cook, near Rhodes Camp, south of the bridge. It was first sighted by two fishermen from Lake Charles, who notified authorities. Assisting in the recovery were Sabine Sheriff Cook, and Deputies Floyd Terrell, shown above left, and Clifton Davis, and the Rev. Bill white, Civil Defense Director. (INDEX Photo).
