All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Randell Leon Charles, Jr. (Photo) Funeral services for little 3 1/2 year old Randell Leon Charles Jr., who died Saturday night, April 22, in a mobile home fire, were held Wednesday, April 26, at 1 p.m., in the Pilgrim Star Baptist Church, where the Revs. Milton Charles, pastor, and J. B. Maxie, officiated the service, which was under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home. Beginning the service with scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments, followed by prayer and music, an acknowledgement of sympathy was offered by Mrs. Myna Maxie. Mrs. Jessie R. King read the obituary followed by a solo sung by Mrs. Quzette Charles. Rev. J. B. Maxey offered a eulogy as the closure of the service, and interment was in the Pilgrim Star Cemetery. Little Randell Charles Jr. is survived by his parents, Amanda Lisa and Randell Leon Charles of Florien; two brothers, Michael James, and Corey Alexanda Charles, both of Florien; great grandparents, Rev. Milton and Amanda Charles, and Mr. Presley and Ida Lee Gassaway; grandparents, John Earl and Georgia Charles, Vedora and Harvey Spikes; one great-great uncle; ten great aunts; eight great uncles; eight aunts; ten uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers were John Ervin Charles, Milton Raymond Charles, Rev. Anthony Lowe, Kalven Undra Charles, Harvey Spikes Jr., and Thomas D. Palmer. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who sent flowers, cards, and made calls to express their sympathy to the family for their loss. They would also like to thank Jenkins Funeral Home for their beautiful service.
