Carlton, 93, of Longview, Tex. were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Derwood Blackwell officiates and interment was in Memory Park. Mrs. Carlton, a native of Salem, Mo. And a resident of Longview since 1945, died 4:25 p.m. in Longview local hospital following a lengthy illness. She has been a Sunday school teacher and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She taught school in Eminence, Mo. From 1898 to 19904 and in Fisher, La., she organized a girl's auxiliary for the local girls who had no other form of motivation. Survivors include one son, John Carlton, of Longview; two daughters, Mrs. Barney Edwards of Longview and Mrs. Ivan R. Graves of Shreveport; one brother Johnny Ferguson of Salem, Mo. and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were E. K. Bennett, Seymore Waggoner, A. A. Dunbar, J. D. Knighton, Johnny Walker and John S. Carlton.
