Jack Chreene

  Services for Jack Chreene, 74, of Converse, were held at 4 p.m.,
Thursday, May 3, in Henrietta Methodist Church in Converse, with
the Rev. Waymon Rodeheaver, and the Rev. Sid Young officiating.
Burial was May 2, in Converse Cemetery, under the direction of
Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Mr. Chreene died Wednesday morning, in a Pleasant Hill hospital,
after a lengthy illness.

  Survivors include widow, Stella Chreene of Converse; son, Hamp
Myers of Lake Charles; daughters, Ollie Mare of Natchitoches,
Nell Manie of Santa Rosa, Calif., Mamie Stewart of Converse, and
Thelma Bushnell of Dry Creek; sisters, Georgia Brown, and Lizzie
Chreene, both of Grand Cane, and Mattie Shelley of Doyline;
brother, Ernest Chreene of Shreveport; 21 grandchildren, and 33
great grandchildren.
