Lucy Jane Crain

  Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Jane Crain, 103, of Marthaville,
were held Monday, April 30, at 2 p.m., at the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Marthaville
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Rev. Joe Ratcliff officiated.

  Mrs. Crain passed away Saturday, April 28, at the Riverview
Nursing Home in Shreveport.

  She is survived by four daughters, Noveline Byrd of Belmont,
Estelle Newton of Shreveport, Merline Schattner of Bossier City,
and Daisy Hamilton of Minden; one son, Jesse Crain of Tucson,
Arizona; 37 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several
great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Crain; two
daughters, Truman Golden, and Earline Lewis; and two sons, O. T.
Crain, and Charles Crain.
