Chreene, 51, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 12, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating the service was the Rev. Robert Perot, pastor of Four Square Gospel Church, assisted by Rev. E. M. Lofton, pastor of Eastwood Assembly of God Church. Burial followed in Forest Park West. Mrs. Chreene died Wednesday, April 10, at Willis-Knighton South, following a short illness. She was born in Shreveport, and had been a resident of Stonewall for five years. Mrs. Chreene was a homemaker, and a Pentecostal. She is survived by her husband, Rev. James R. Chreene Sr. of Stonewall; mother, Ethel Tyler of Florien; five sons, James Jr. of Plain Dealing, John Randle, and Peter of Stonewall, and Samuel, and David, both of Keithville; three daughters, Carolyn Howell of Stonewall, Laverne Garrett of Mansfield, and Paula Chase of Shreveport; three sisters; two brothers; and 19 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dale Tyler, Danny Raines, Gene Raines, Gerald Raines, Loyd Pace, and Randy Chase.
