Officiating was Rev. Wilton Anthony. Burial was in Mt. Mariah Cemetery in Arcadia. Mr. Crain died at 12:50 p.m., Jan. 7, in Arcadia, following a sudden illness. Mr. Crain was born in Sikes, and had been a resident of Arcadia for 27 years. He was a USDA Inspector, a Navy veteran, and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Frances Duran Crain, Arcadia; three sons, Charles D. Crain Jr., James Richard Crain, John Clifford Crain, all of Arcadia; four sisters, Wanda Meeks, West Monroe, Martha Johnson, Monroe, La., Ouida Anderson, Shreveport, La., Gay Carscadden, Bossier City, La.; two brothers, George H. Crain, Converse, La., and Delane Crain, Winnfield, La.; and two grandchildren, Stacey, and Sean Crain, Arcadia.
