Carmical, Jr. 62, of Pearland, Texas, were held Saturday, January 26, 1985, at the South Park Funeral Home, Pearland. The Reverend Garland McKee, pastor of First Baptist Church, Pearland, officiated. Burial was at South Memorial Park Cemetery, Pearland. Mr. Carmical, retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Houston, died Thursday, January 24, 1985, at his residence, after a lengthy illness. He was born at Belmont, Louisiana, December 1, 1922, was a Navy veteran of World War II, and had resided in Houston and Pearland, Texas, since 1942. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pearland. Mr. Carmical was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde L. Carmical, Sr., of Belmont. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Tyer Carmical, Pearland; one daughter, Mrs. Kim Carmical Brown of Pasadena; four sons, John Luther of Austin, Texas, Randy of Houston, Barry of Pasadena, Texas, and Tim of Alta Lorna, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rabe of Shreveport; three brothers, William F. Houston, Joe P. of Pasadena, Texas, and Charlie Wayne of Maybank, Texas; aunts, Mrs. Blanche Fenston of Shreveport, Miss Josie Skinner, Many; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were sons, John Luther, Barry, Randy, and Tim; son-in-law, G. W. Brown; brother Joe P. Carmical.
