Cryer, 70, of Many, died at 6:20 p.m., April 9, following an extended illness. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Isler Cryer of Many; one son, Larry Cryer of Many; four daughters, Yvonne Cryer, and Mrs. Marvin Batson, both of Many, Ida Malmay of Zwolle, and Mrs. Bruce Nelson of Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Calvin Cryer of Many, and Jessie Cryer of Zwolle; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Beulah Baptist Church on Saturday, April 11, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Perry Lassiter, and the Rev. Paul Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Roy Mitchell, T. M. Phillips, Wiley Cummings, W. R. Miller, Tom Self, Clark Pouncey.
