Dr Clarence Young and Michael Canady officiated. Graveside services were held in the Middle Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, at 3 p.m. Mrs. Canady died Monday May 24, 2004 at her residence in Sulphur. Mrs. Canady was born on May 9, 1919 in Middle Creek, to John and Etta Norsworth. She lived in Old Maplewood since 1947, was a member of the Maplewood First Baptist Church and had taught first grade at the Maplewood Elementary School. Survivors include one son, the Rev. Michael Canady and wife, Linda, of Dry Prong; two daughters, Carolyn Wakeland and husband, Bob, of Sulphur and Vicki Zambie and husband, Michael, of Monroe; one sister, Rubylie Wright of Sulphur; nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oather Canady and brother William Edward Norsworthy. Donations or memorial gifts may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Convention Church Site Corporation, P.
