Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dew, was born and reared in the Mt. Zion community, where he was a life-long member of the Mt. Zion Baptist church. For the past year he had been employed by the Texas Oil company at Golden Meadows. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Zion Baptist church by his former pastor, Rev. D. L. Goodman, of Colfax, with burial in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Deceased is survived by his widow and two small children, two brothers, Willie and Ed Dew; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Cooper, Johnnie Cooper, Mrs. W. H. Brumley, Mrs. J. D. Miller and Mrs. Ezra Dees.
