Graveside services were said at 2:30 p.m. that same day, at the Woodard Cemetery near Taylor. Arrangements were handled by the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mr. Dew died Thursday, April 16, at his residence in Natchitoches, following a short illness. He was 62. Mr. Dew was a deacon in the Pecan Acres Baptist Church of Vidor, Tex., and was a retired operator for Texas Eastern Gas Pipeline for over 30 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louvenia Cook Dew of Natchitoches; three sisters, Verlyn Turner of Jefferson, Tex., Aloyesse Tidwell of Many, and Betty Welch of Houston, Tex.; and two brothers, Franklin Dew, and Kenneth Dew, both of Many.
