Dew, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 23, in Many, after a short illness. Funeral services were held in Mt. Freedom Bible Baptist Church in Many, Tuesday, Jan. 24, with the Rev. Cecil Lawrence, and the Rev. Irby McCollough officiating. Burial was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Mr. Dew was a former Trooper of the Louisiana State Police, also a Deacon of the Mt. Freedom Bible Baptist Church, and their Sunday School Supt. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. W. A. Dew of Many; three sons, Homer Dew of Vidor, Tex., Franklin, and Kenneth Dew, both of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Verlyn Turner of Jefferson, Tex., Mrs. Aloyesse Tidwell of Many, and Mrs. Betty Welch of Houston, Tex.; one brother, E. W. Dew of Many; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Cutright of Many, Mrs. Ella Brumley of Many, Mrs. Ola Miller of Florien, and Mrs. Estelle Dees of Tyler, Tex.; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Howard Hopkins, Hoyt Hughes, Ancel DeLatin, Roland Carter, T. M. Phillips, and Jeff Tidwell.
