Thomas W. Dew

  Funeral services for Thomas Walter Dew, 55, were held at 10
a.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Many.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, under direction of the Hixson
Funeral Home.

  He was a civil service employee at Ft. Polk.

  He died Thursday, Jan. 29, in a Houston, Tex. hospital.

  Survivors are his wife; one son, Thomas H. Dew of Zwolle; one
stepson, Walter J. Brown Jr. of Starks; three stepdaughters, Mrs.
Bessie Self, Mrs. Alice Lam?, and Mrs. Mary Conally, all of
Hornbeck; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Dew of Hornbeck; three
brothers, Luther F. Dew, and Marion Dew, both of Toro, and
Talmadge Dew of Leesville; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Chambers of
Ruston; and 18 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
