Mr. Joe Davis

  Mr. Joe Davis, 97, of Atlanta, Texas died Wednesday, March 4, 1998.

  Mr. Davis was born on Nov. 27, 1900 in Atlanta, Ark. He was a member
of the Alford Heights Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter.

  Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8 at Many City
Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Srygley officiated.

  Survivors include three sons, Gary Davis and wife, Inetha of Atlanta,
Texas, Joseph D. Davis and wife, Virginia of Sea Level, N.C. and James
Dale Davis and wife, Easter of Zachary; nine grandchildren; 20 great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
