Davis, 58, of Shreveport, died Thursday, Aug. 17, in his home, following a sudden illness. Funeral services were conducted Friday, at 1 p.m., in Rose-Neath Funeral Home, by the Rev. Roy Mouser, pastor of Mangum Memorial Methodist Church. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Davis was a native of Pelican, and had resided in Shreveport for 40 years. He was employed by the U. S. Postal Department for 30 years, and was a member of American Legion Post No. 14, and Mangum Memorial Methodist Church. He was a Marine Corps World War II veteran. Survivors include his widow; two step-sons, Jon Crittenden, and Jack Crittenden, both of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Simpson of Shreveport; one step-daughter, Jeanie Critenden of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. W. G. Simmons of Converse, Mrs. O. V. Hufft of Bossier City, and Mrs. Troy Arnold, and Lurline Whitfield, both of Shreveport; and four brothers, Claude Davis, Ollie Davis, and W. I. Davis, all of Shreveport, and the Rev. T. F. Davis of Swartz.
