The Sabine Index - Mrs. E. S. DeBose

  4 Mar 1938 - Mrs. E. S. DeBose, age 84, died at the family
residence in Many last Monday evening at 8:25.

  Funeral services were held at Old Pisgah 2:30 Tuesday
afternoon with the Rev. B. N. Simmons officiating.

  Mrs. DeBose was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert
M. Armstrong, being born in Sabine parish near Ft. Jesup.  She
was first married to Thomas J. Jackson and to this union were
born the following children, who survive her:  Mrs. Jane
Jackson DeBose of Florien; R. A. Jackson of Saragota, Texas,
T. B. Jackson, Natchitoches.

  Deceased was married in 1884 to E. S. DeBose, who survives
her.  To this union the following children survive:  Mrs. Alice
Byles, Robeline; Grover H. DeBose, Haughton; J. E. DeBose, Many;
Louis M. DeBose, Rodessa; and 26 grandchildren and 37 great
grandchildren, besides a large number of other near relatives
throughout Sabine parish.
