The Sabine Index - James Lazarus Davis

  8 Nov 1957 - Funeral services for James Lazarus Davis, age 82,
who died at DeRidder hospital after an extended illness Thursday,
Oct. 31, was conducted at Prospect Methodist church at 3 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 1 with Rev. Clarence Dees officiating, assisted by
Rev. Henry Chance. Interment was in church cemetery under the
direction of Warren Funeral home.

  Survivors are sons, Willie of Heflin, Bennie of Florien, Suel
of Magnolia, Texas, Charlie of DeRidder, L. C. of Pasadena,
Texas, daughters, Mrs. L. H. Clanan and Mrs. Joe Potter of Many,
Mrs. Joe Wynn of Magnolia, Texas; Mrs. Frank Mooney of DeRidder;
brothers, J. F. Heflin, 31 grandchildren, 85
great-grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Herman Roy, Hoyt, William B., Jr., Don and
Jerry Davis.
