Davis died at 6:20 p.m., Thursday, in the Virginia Hall Nursing Home, after a long illness. He was 80. The Robeline native had lived in Shreveport for 30 years. He was a retired employee of the Caddo Parish Highway Department, and a member of St. Pius X Cathlic Church. Survivors include his widow, Isabella Davis of Shreveport; five sons, John, Arthur, Joe, Charlie, and Tony Davis, all of Shreveport; tree daughters, Bessie Lena Davis, and Mrs. Florence Rodrigues, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. Velma Boswell of Bossier City; a brother, Paul Davis of Austin, Tex.; five sisters, Mrs. Lee Corrales of Shreveport, Mrs. Bliss Moore of Robeline, Mrs. Fred Irvin of Coushatta; and Mrs. Ida Sanchez, and Mrs. Agnes Gonzales, both of Austin; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Officiating for the services was the Rev. W. E. Walsh, pastor of the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park. Pallbearers were John Davis, Arthur Davis, Joe B. Davis, Charlie Davis, Tony Davis, and Charlie Davis Jr.
