S. Davis in Many 3:30 p.m. Saturday after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted at St. John's Catholic church 9 a.m. Monday by Rev. Father J. A. Benoit with interment in the Catholic cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home. Pallbearers were Harold and Hubert Andries, James Davis, James Corbitt, Norman Buvens and Jack Hubley, all great nephews. Surviving are: sister, Mrs. Mary Armstrong, Many; nieces and nephews as follows; Mrs. Clara Davis, Mrs. Cecil Andries, Emmett H. Armstrong, W. S. Davis, Mrs. L. F. Locke, Mrs. George D. Cobbs, Mrs. C. J. Hubley and Mrs. F. N. Buvens, all of Many, R. C. and J. G. Davis, and Mrs. H. H. Delhomme, all of Port Neches, Texas. Mr. Davis in his younger life was an active farmer, lumber man and other industries. He owned at the time of his death valuable farming and timber land adjoining the city of Many.
