  George W. Davis

  Mr. George W. Davis, 78, of Florien died Thursday, August 9.

  Funeral services were held at the Florien First Baptist Church
on Saturday, August 11 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mack Brister
officiating. Burial was at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include three brothers, Carnadus Davis, Florien;
Aubrey Davis, Pine Bluff, Ark; Kenneth Davis, West Monroe; five
sisters, Mrs. Christine Huff, Madison, Ga.; Mrs. Irene Pentecost,
Many; Mrs. Kathlene Robideaux, West Monroe; Mrs. Marie Byrd,
Shreveport; and Mrs. Ernestine Hamilton, Commerce, Tex. He is
also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
