The Sabine Index - J. M. (Jim) Davis

  24 Aug 1956 - Last rites for J. M. (Jim) Davis, 77, who
passed away at Sabine clinic, Zwolle, Aug. 19 was conducted at
Prospect Methodist church at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20 with Rev. W.
W. Conley officiating. Interment was in Prospect cemetery under
the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Laura Davis; sons, Harvey and
Clifton Davis both of Florien; A. G. Davis of Leesville; J. T.
Davis of Baton Rouge, Cecil Davis of Many; daughters, Mrs. Trudie
Corley of Florien, Mrs. J. C. Groves of Natchitoches, Mrs.
Pauline Derr of Many; brothers, Robert and Charlie Davis of
Hornbeck; sisters, Mrs. Maggie Smith of Clara and Mrs. Willie
Strickland of Anacoco; 15 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were grandsons of Mr. Davis.
