John Davis

  John Davis, 87, died in the Fraser Hospital in Many, Friday,
Aug. 8, at 3:30 a.m.

  Survivors include two sons, O. C. Davis of Los Angeles, Calif.,
and Ural Davis of Belmont; one daughter, Evelyn Kelley of Odessa,
Tex.; four sisters, Clara Carter of Belmont, Viola Folks, and
Rena Bridges, both of Converse, and Beatrice Gray of Hammond; 10
grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Union Baptist Church in
Belmont, Monday, Aug. 11, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Frank Burton,
and Rev. H. T. Grenweldge officiating. Burial followed in the
Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.
