DeBose 6 Feb 1942 - Last rites for Enoch S. DeBose age 80 years, were held at Old Pisgah, Wednesday evening at 3 o'clock, Rev. J. D. Scott officiating. Dennis-Green funeral home directing. Surviving are four children, three sons, Grover of Many, James Everett of Many and Louis McGough DeBose of Coushatta, one daughter, Mrs. Alice Byles; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Uncle Sim, as Mr. DeBose was known to everyone, was one of Sabine parish's oldest citizens. He served the people of Many and vicinity for many years at his blacksmith shop. Uncle Sim will be missed by both young and old.
