DeBose, 72, of Many, died Sunday, January 1, 1984, at 7:50 a.m., at his residence near Many, following an extended illness. Services for Mr. DeBose were conducted at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Monday, January 2, at 2 p.m., with the Revs. Elzie Walker, J. P. King, and James Guay officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery, with Masonic rites at graveside. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estelle DeBose of Many; two sons, Joe DeBose, Many, and Simmie DeBose, Shreveport; one daughter, Ruthie Addison, Houston, Tex.; one brother, Jimmie DeBose, Many; four sisters, Mrs. Belle Williams, Jackson, Miss., Mrs. Lillie Mae McComic, Florien, Mrs. Alice Kelly, Many, and Mrs. Nellie Kelly, Many; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were his grandsons, John Addison, Joseph Addison, David Addison, Mike DeBose, Clifton DeBose, and Rodney Sanders.
