Jimmy Evans, and Rev. Elcie Walker officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. DeBose died at his residence, after a lengthy illness, on February 20, 1986, at 6:45 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Hopkins DeBose of Many; one son, James Edward DeBose of Many; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Estess of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Williams, and Mrs. Lillie Mae McComic, both of Florien, and Mrs. Nellie Kelly of Many; four grandchildren, Gary Estess of Mexico, JoAnn Ziller of Hammond, Sherry Wright, Lafayette, and James Howard DeBose of Many; one great grandson, Karr Shannon of Hammond. Pallbearers were Otis Jones, Joe DeBose, Nathan Berry, Billy Pickett, Kenneth Funderburk, and Kerry "Bo" Hopkins.
