Davis, 86, of Robeline, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 18, at Blanchard-St. Denis Chapel. Officiating were Rev. Brent Fleming, and Rev. Charles Bates. Burial was at Spring Ridge Cemetery near Belmont. Mrs. Davis was a native of Marthaville, and a resident of Robeline. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Robeline. Mrs. Davis died Saturday morning, at 11:45 a.m., in the Natchitoches Parish Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. L. M. Davis. Survivors are one son, W. L. Davis of Robeline; two daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and James Darnell of Robeline, and Maxine and Versey Roberts of Natchitoches; four sisters, Mrs. C. E. Dew, and Mrs. G. L. Smith, both of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Weldon LaBorde of Alexandria, and Mrs. Stanley Winn of Marthaville; five grandchildren, Mrs. Sandra Cook of Shreveport, Randall McElwee of Crowley, Tommy McElwee of Dubach, and Sue Bernard of Natchitoches, and Kathy Jenkins of Marthaville; and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Don Winn, Jerry Roberts, Eddie Broadway, Bernice Green, Randall McElwee, and Francis Vercher. Honorary Pallbearers were Gary LaBorde, and Tommy McElwee.
