Mrs. Rosa Smith Davis

  Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Smith Davis of Houston, Tex.,
were held Saturday, Sept. 6, 1986, at 1 p.m., at New Jerusalem
Baptist Church, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary.

  Eulogy was given by Rev. R. D. Douglas, pastor of Greater True
Vine Missionary Baptist Church of Houston.

  Mrs. Davis departed this life, August 31, 1986, at 3:30 a.m., in
Houston, Tex.

  She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Rosa M.
Garner of Many, and Mrs. Inell McGrough of Houston, Tex.; four
sons, Mr. James Davis of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. Howard Davis,
and Mrs. Alvoid Davis, both of Dallas, Tex., and Mr. Frank Davis
of Houston, Tex.; 26 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 4
great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives, and friends.

  Two sons, Edward B. Davis, and Earnest Lee Davis preceded her in
death.
