Benjamin Franklin Davis

  Mr. Benjamin Franklin Davis, 89, died in Monroe, Louisiana, on
Monday, December 1, 1986, at 1:15 a.m.

  Funeral services were held at the Union Baptist Church, on
Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. Mack Brister, and
the Rev. Jeff Flenniken officiating. Interment was in the Florien
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Charlotte G. Davis of
Florien; four sons, Herman B. Davis of Florien, Reginald R. Davis
of Longville, George A. Davis of Monroe, and James Lynn Davis of
Many; one daughter, Carlena Lee of Florien; three half brothers,
Sull Davis of Atlanta, Tex., Charles B. Davis of New Iberia, and
L. C. Davis of Rusk, Tex.; one sister, Larindia Clanan of
Natchitoches; one half sister, Myrtis Mooney of DeRidder; 20
grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and
nephews.
