  A. G. Davis - November 29, 1973

  A. G. Davis, 63 of Leesville died Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Byrd
Memorial Hospital in Leesville. He was a member of Prospect
Methodist Church at Florien and was retired.

  Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Maines
of Florien, Mrs. Darlene Welch of Baton Rouge; three brothers,
Cecil Davis of Many, Clifton Davis of Florien, J. P. Davis of
Florien; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Graves and Trudy Corley, both of
Florien; two grandchildren.

  Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 at Hixson
Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Scott and the Rev. P.
Lionel Poe officiating. Burial was in the Pine Island Cemetery in
Pickering under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.
