H. E. Crenwell officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Campbell. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery near Converse. Mr. Davis died Monday, Sept. 11, 1989, in Shreveport, following a short illness. He was a member of the Lewis Chapel Pentecostal Church, and a retired oil field driller. Survivors include his wife, Clara B. Davis of Converse; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Davis, and Jeannie of Zwolle, and Wayne Davis, and Susan of Linden, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane Garcie, and John of Converse; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn Kelly and James of Odessa, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Otha Davis and Ruth of Boyce, Idaho; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlie Ford and Barbara of Angleton, Texas, and James Rambin and Doris of Mansfield; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
